Nokia Lumia 800 arrives is SA on 7 February 2012

Earlier this month Nokia revealed that their new Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) range of smartphones would be hitting South African in early quarter 1 of 2012 – the Nokia Lumia 800 has now been confirmed (via Nokia SA Facebook page) for a 7 February 2012 launch.

The Nokia Lumia 800 features a 3.7 inch Gorilla Glass AMOLED capacitive touchscreen at 480 x 800 pixels resolution, powered by a 1.4 GHz Scorpion Snapdragon CPU with 512MB RAM and Adreno 205 GPU.

The Windows phone comes with a 8 mega pixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash and HD video recording of 720p@30fps.

The Lumia 800 will be available with 16GB of internal storage and no microSD slot for additional storage, the handset is 116.5 x 61.2 x 12.1 mm, 76.1 cc in dimensions and weighs in at 142 g. The Lumia range will run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system.

There is no pricing yet for the Nokia Lumia 800 from Nokia SA, so we will keep you update as soon as details are released . The next handset in the Lumia range being released in South Africa will be – the Nokia Lumia 710 which be following soon after the Lumia 800 in early quarter two.
