NeoGo Data Card Prepaid Deal – R33 a GB

South African telecommunications operator Neotel has launched their new mobile data offering – the NeoGo Data Card, which offers 24GB of mobile data plus USB modem for R799 once-off, the 24GB data is valid for 12 months.

Users will have a choice of getting the 24GB in one go or 2GB per month over a 12 month period. The deal brings the in-bundle cost per GB to R33 and if you happen to finish your data allowance before the 12 month period, Neotel’s prepaid rate of R0.20/20c per MB applies.

The deal looks pretty good as you get 24GB data valid for 12month + a USB modem for a once-off/prepaid price of R799, the only concern I would have is network coverage and speeds, according to some users – Neotel speeds are pretty slow.
