Sony PS Vita sells 1.2 Million Units Worldwide

The Sony PlayStation Vita seems to have gotten a second wind since it hit a slump in sales late last year, the nex-gen handheld has sold over 1.2 million units worldwide since it went on sale.
Sony revealed that the PS Vita sold more than 620,000 units in the last week in Europe, Australia and USA since it launched in those countries. Since December 2011, around 580,000 PS Vita units were sold in Japan alone, although the hefty price tag has made it quite the luxury item.
The PlayStation Vita is available at popular retailers in South Africa for a recommend retail price of R2,999 for the Wi-Fi only version, and R3,599 for the Wi-Fi+3G model.
